This recipe is a bit high in natural sugars but makes a great post-workout snack. My formula doesn’t use any caramel, but a mix of maple syrup, lucuma powder and carob powder to re-create a ‘caramelly’ flavor.
The mousse effect works great if you’re using a good quality whey protein powder. I used Natural Stacks’ whey-collagen protein powder in this recipe (they kindly sent me free packages of their vanilla flavored Natural Protein™).
– 100 g cooked sweet potato
– 1 scoop Natural Stacks Grass fed whey protein concentrate with collagen powder (20 g)
– 2 tsp maple syrup or Sukrin low-carb syrup
– 1 tbsp lucuma powder
– 1 tsp carob powder
– 1/4 cup cold water
Blend everything together until the mix looks very smooth and starts gaining volume.
