I just love the thyme/dark chocolate/quinoa combo in this recipe! It reminds me one of my favorite chocolate bar: the NewTree Dark chocolate with quinoa, flax seeds and thyme. I guess I could also have added some flax seeds in that recipe, but I’d have to use more honey and chocolate to hold everything together, making the recipe more calorie-dense. And you can’t really add any liquid ingredient to use as a glue to hold everything together, as the puffed quinoa wouldn’t be crunchy anymore.
Ingredients (for about 6 servings):
Melt dark chocolate and mix with honey. Mix hemp protein powder with puffed quinoa. Add chocolate, honey and thyme. Pour and press down the mix in a flat container. Store in the fridge for a couple of hours before cutting out bars.
