This is a recipe that I found on Jenny Didonato’s site www.madefittv.com.
Here is my version of this recipe:
– 2 bananas cut in small piece, frozen
– 1 cup of fat free Greek yogurt
– 2 scoops of whey protein powder (an unflavored/unsweetened powder works well here, the bananas are already enough)
– a little bit of agave (optional)
Put everything in a food processor. Do not use a blender, it’s not going to work as well as a food processor because the mixture is too thick for a blender and is going to stick at the bottom of it. Frozen bananas can be very hard so if you don’t have a very strong food processor I would advise you to wait 5 minutes for the bananas to soften a bit.
Done! Creamy delicious banana ice cream
Eat about a small cup and put the rest in the freezer for another time. As Jenny says, banana are high on natural sugar so don’t abuse it. But it’s still way healthier than regular ice cream. Whey protein leaves you full and satisfied and you won’t get a big sugar high from this ice cream.
